The John Adams Society was delighted to welcome Spencer P Boyer, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasian Affairs who joined us to deliver the first JAS Annual Lecture entitled: “Foreign policy implications of multiculturalism: strategy and practice”. The lecture took place at the Royal United Services Institute on 17 November, 2011. 
DAS Boyer discussed U.S. efforts to reach diverse audiences in the context of both U.S. ideals and more practical measures to counter violent extremism, support human rights and promote democracy and tolerance.
