By kind invitation of the Ambassador of Iceland, Mr Thordur Aegir Oskarsson, we are delighted to invite you to an exclusive JAS event at the Embassy of Iceland to hear the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Gudlaugur Thor Thordarson, discuss free trade, Brexit and the future opportunities that exist between the UK and Iceland.

Doors at the Embassy will open at 1745 with the Minister’s address commencing shortly after 1800, to be followed by a Q & A and then a drinks reception. The event will conclude at 1945 and the Minister is very much looking forward to discussing these issues with JAS members.

The Embassy is located at 2A Hans Street, Knightsbridge, London, SW1X 0JE.  It is a few minutes walk from both Sloane Square and Knightsbridge underground stations and is on the corner of 55 Sloane Street.

The Minister has been a member of the Parliament of Iceland since 2003 and was appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs in 2016. He served has Minister of Health and Social Security between 2007 and 2009 and has been Chairman of the Independence Party parliamentary group since 2016, having served on many parliamentary committees during his career. He is married with four children.
