The US Embassy is pleased to announce the film screening of Rosewater, a 2014 film written and directed by Jon Stewart about the imprisonment of Maziar Bahari in Iran.
The film is being screened by the embassy for 2015 World Press Freedom Day. The screening will consist of the screening followed by a Q&A with Bahari himself.
The embassy is offering JAS members 20 tickets. If you or any other JAS Members would like to attend, please send your name and email address to chair@johnadamssociety.co.uk. All names will be sent to the embassy’s cultural affairs team.
Please note that this is a first come first served basis for JAS members. Please express interest by the morning of Monday 27 April 2015.

Samantha Watson is a trained journalist and digital communications specialist. Her career spans working as a local reporter to writing for national and international publications including the historical New York Amsterdam News. She has worked extensively with a number of charities to develop communication strategies, and implement digital media plans to enhance engagement and campaigning. As a former participant on the US State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) she has a keen interest in how international communities campaign and engage both socially and politically.
